We just happened to fall into this gem. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place!

Authentic Mexican cuisine. The menu is on a electronic screen. You can order a la carte or combos. There is free parking. Drinks are a serve yourself fountain featuring Pepsi products. Food was great. Prices were very fair. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They were happy that we were first time customers and said so. Inside seating available and air conditioned. Place was clean and tidy as were the bathrooms. I would definitely eat there again.

This is not an upscale place to impress your girlfriend or future in-laws but merely a good quality local Mexican Taqueria near Downtown. There is enough parking space for a dozen cars, it can be a problem if there is a huge number of take-out clients. You order your food at the counter as you enter Taqueria Jalapenos. We have quality tacos like Carne Asa, El Pastor, Shrimp and Lengua (Beef Tongue) before. They are delicious and served with meat, corn or flour tortillas, chopped crispy onions and lime slices. There are two main spicy hot platters, Pollo Jalapenos or Camerones Jalapenos. I opted for Camarones (Shrimp) Jalapenos. The Shrimps were prepared with Green and Jalapenos peppers, Onions, Garlic and Tomato sauce. Accompanied the shrimps with refried Beans, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Mexican rice and choice of corn or flour tortilla. Of course, a nice cold Modelo beer go nicely with this dish. The corn tortillas were steaming hot as I pick them up. This is a hot dish, don't try this or tear will run out your eyes. They are fresh, hot and delicious! My friend ordered Carne Asada, Fish and Shrimp Tacos. He loves his tacos and truly a Tacos Man! The food was served in about 7-8 minutes. You get tasty and inexpensive Mexican food here! a great place for lunch or dinner!
